If you follow me on instagram you may have noticed that I have been going mad with my NutriBullet and have been having fruit and vegetable juice almost every day- if not twice.
I have also just finished reading ‘Eat and Run’ by Scott Jurek an ultra runner who is fuelled by a plant based diet – he is also very keen on juices and smoothies as a great way to get a bunch of natural, tasty nutrients into your diet.
Here is a quick recipe for my favourite juice this week:
1/2 Pink Grapefruit
1\2 handful of baby kale
1 Green apple
Juice of 1 lemon
1 small handful of frozen raspberries
I have also been searching for ideas for new workouts especially for outdoors now the nights are lighter and the temperature is hotting up (always the Scottish optimist).
As a runner I am always looking for ways to challenge and strengthen my body without taking too much time away from my training schedule, on my list of things to try is Tashi Skervins sprint workouts and I am going to add these to my core strength four minute workouts.
My mum has been unwell this week so decided to take a couple of days of running – she says this is why it’s good to keep to the schedule (miles in the bank) she is mega dosing on the vitamin C let’s hope she feels better before our first half marathon next week – you still have time to sponsor us here.
